the beginning of the end

uni is ending in 30 days' time. A part of me feels sad to leave this comfort zone and my uni mates. All the fun and laughter will only be memories after June. We will separate and go our own paths. This is part and parcel of life where people part ways to pursue other things.

But another part of me feels excited to be finally leaving this place tht is starting to make me really complacent and stagnant. I need a new environment with new goals, new things to learn everyday and new people who can inspire me.

What path I'm to take, I do not know. Thankfully I can look to family & friends older than me for some career advice.

Ultimately, pray for guidance & wisdom.

Cheers to the final 30 days! Mixed feelings. I duno whether to say Yay/Wohoo or Shucks/Sad.

the 'what could have been' situation

Hello there.. my blogging mojo is slowly slipping away.. ah well, the complexities of life kept me from blogging. Anyway, I saw this particular book quote from Book Xcess on fb tht resonated within me!!

This is so true. It happened a few times and when I stare at the wall, I just go, 'wow' and reflect on the immensity of that line and how well it was crafted. But for 1 minute? nah, i think 30 seconds max.

ok that's all. Dun wana blog about uni life coz it's just classes & thesis yawn. Cant wait to grad man and leave this laidback environment that's making me so damn complacent and comfortable to the point where I feel sluggish and lazy.

Sometimes I wonder, what wud it be like to be in a private uni like monash, taylor's etc? Coz in private unis, majority are from urban areas, 95% speak really good English & I presume the environment there is more.. hm driven & fast-paced? not sure.

But would things have been different if I enrol there?

I would not know.

Feel free to save this pic to upload on your blog if you feel the same way like I do.

After this begins a whole new chapter in life! Time waits for no man. This new chapter is where the real-ass learning begins. agh.

The only constant thing right now is change. Inevitable.

I sat in silence in my room,
listening to the whirring of the fan,
appreciating the solitude,
immersing myself in the looming darkness of the setting sun,
replaying today's event & what if's,
having a conversation with myself - the great turmoil
between the heart & mind.

great getaway

A few of us went to PD over the weekend recently for Joanna's wedding and although I thought it would disrupt my daily routines, I found it a good and much-needed getaway from easter practices, thesis, responsibilities and worries. It was short, but I had a great time of fellowship with my fellow church mates to get to know them better and to talk silly and random stuff. I enjoyed it :)

Pictures below courtesy of Ames:

Me and Ames. I enjoyed catching up wit u on stuff and about d going-ons in your life. I'm always encouraged by ur presence, cheerfulness, encouragement & support. Will miss you lots :'(

1/4 of the crew before the wedding. Check out the blue sea of PD behind

Pretties in a lift.

The 'after-party'/chillout session that consisted of beer towers, taboo, chitchat & singing games. Twas a good night of berbonding & fellowship!

This short trip was surprisingly refreshing. I'll miss this when some leave but all's not doom and gloom coz thre's still chance to meet up. But... things will be different. Ah well... Cheers to good memories & good times like this ^.^

reality check

I received news few months back that a few people whom I look up to and who have helped me so much in church productions are leaving.

Sad news. For 3 years they have taught, guided, encouraged & supported me and have shaped a part of me to be who I am today. They've shared their experiences and opened up their homes, picked and sent me back, gave me all her S3 handphone covers (haha) and lots more.

So the news of them leaving was more than a shock. :( Anyhow... there's a reason for everything, and imma have a farewell makan before they leave to sort of say a proper goodbye and to thank them for all they've done.

 I will miss u guys!
