we pianists are sometimes taken for granted. To those who aren't musically inclined, we're just the ones who provide music. That's all.

But they'll never know how much time and effort we put in to hone our playing and painstakingly pick our brains to figure out the chords of an out-of-this-world song.

I think there should be a recognition for us, like 'Appreciate a Pianist Day' or something.
